Most Rewarding Side Quests (Witcher 3 Base Game)

Of Swords and Dumplings

How to Get

You can ask any Blacksmith you encounter if they know how to make mastercrafted swords. You can also go straight to Hattori's home in Novigrad and speak with him.

Rewards

Once this quest is completed, you will have access to a Blacksmith who can craft and upgrade weapon diagrams up to the Master tier.

The Relic Steel Sword that you get from Hattori after finishing this quest is not a good reward for the diffuculty and length of this quest.

You will mainly complete this quest in order to unlock Hattori as a blacksmith so he can craft Master tier Witcher weapons for you.

Of Swords and Dumplings Quest Walkthrough

Master Armorers

How to Get

Go to Crow's Perch in Velen and speak to the Armorsmith Fergus Graem. Ask him if he knows how to make mastercrafted armor and finishing the conversation should start the quest.

Rewards

Once this quest is completed, you will have access to an Armorsmith who can craft and upgrade armor diagrams up to the Master tier.

Most Rewarding Side Quests (Hearts of Stone)

Enchanting: Start-up Costs

How to Get

Speak to the runewright near the Upper Mill Signpost at the Northeast corner of the Velen Region.

Rewards

Finishing this quest will give you access to another quest where you can unlock a runewright to add runewords and glyphwords to your gear.

Enchanting: Quality Has Its Price

How to Get

This is the follow up quest after completing the Secondary Quest: Enchanting: Start up Costs. You will get this quest automatically after finishing the said quest previously.

Rewards

When you fully finish this quest, it will give you access to a master level runewright. The runewright will be able to add master level runewords and glyphwords to your gear and give you additional bonuses to make you stronger.

Most Rewarding Side Quests (Blood and Wine)

Turn and Face The Strange

How to Get

After you finish the quest Main Quest: Blood Run, you automatically get this quest after receiving the letter from the delivery boy in Beauclair.

Rewards

Once this quest is completed, you will get the Mutations unlocked in your abilities. This will add more slots to your abilities and will make Geralt even more powerful.

Turn and Face the Strange Quest Walkthrough

Master Master Master Master!

How to Get

Pick up the Notice on the Notice Board in Beauclair to start the quest and visit Lafargue at his shop.

Rewards

Once this quest is completed, you will have the all diagrams for Grandmaster Witcher Gear and you will unlock a blacksmith and armorsmith that can upgrade gear up to the Grandmaster tier.

Master Master Master Master! Quest Walkthrough

There Can Be Only One

How to Get

Pick up the Notice on the Notice Board at Beauclair to start the quest, which w you need to do actions that prove your chivalric values.

Rewards

Once this quest is completed, the Lady of the Lake will give you the Silver Sword Aerondight. This is one of the best Silver Swords in the game.

Most Rewarding Contracts

Contract: Devil by the Well

How to Get

Pick up the Notice posted on the Notice Board at White Orchard.

Rewards

This is the monster contract with the lowest recommended level where you can get a trophy with the bonus 5% Bonus experience from humans and nonhumans.

How to Get

Pick up the Notice posted on the Notice Board at the Nilfgaardian Army Camp in the southeast corner of Velen.

Rewards

How to Get

Pick up the Notice posted on the Notice Board at Larvik in Skellige.
