This is a walkthrough for all gems in D2 Hit Rock Bottom, as well as how to clear the level and find the boo in Luigi's Mansion 2 HD for the Nintendo Switch. Read on for a detailed guide for D-2 Hit Rock Bottom, including how to get 3 stars, gem locations, as well as the location of the boo.

D-2 Hit Rock Bottom Objectives

1. Reach the Bottom of the Mine
2. Inspect the Crystal Quarry

Reach the Bottom of the Mine

Examine the photo that the Blue Toad dropped and allow E. Gadd to teleport you back to the Secret Mine. You will then be dropped off at the Chalet.

Take the elevator to the airway and cross the bridge then enter the door on the left. Now that you are at Crossroads, activate the portal device and enter it to get across the gap. Take the frozen key and take it through the portal. Melt it with the lantern then use it to open the locked door on the west side of the room.

Once at the Skip Slope, slide down and get the key on the right side. Once at the end of the slope, shake the barrel to get a little fan, which you will need to spin to reveal a door on the right side.

Go inside to find the Smuggler's Hideout. Burn some logs and take the burning wood to the giant piece of ice, which will blast the window open and cause two Greenies and a Sneaker to appear. Defeat them and blow on the window to close it. Melt the remaining ice then walk through the door to enter the Shaft.

At the Shaft, you will have to blow on the valve to bring it to the bottom floor.

Inspect the Crystal Quarry

Examine the wall to enter the Coward's Chasm. Enter the door into the Deep Hall, then go to the door on the right to get to the Pit Mine.

Turn the valve to reach a lower level then tug on the rope by the machine to turn on the device. Turn the valve to move the mill and let the rocks enter the portal device.

Return to the Deep Hall, then take a rock and burn it at the fireplace. Toss the rock at the frozen chain on the west side of the room, then pull on both chains to unlock the door. Enter to get to the Cinder Mine.

At the Cinder Mine, turn the valve to start a small fire then take the log from the back of the room and use it to melt the ice on the west side. At the new unblocked area, shake one of the bags to reveal coal that can be used to shoot down the frozen key at the middle of the room. With the key return to the Deep Hall where you must defeat two Greenies. Enter the locked door to see a group of Boos trapping ghosts in crystals, which cause them to get stronger.

Now that you're in the Crystal Quarry, look into one of the crystals to cause the ghost to escape. Beat the Strong Greenie, the Strong Slammer, and the Strong Sneaker. E. Gadd will then teleport you back to the bunker.

Gem #1 (Circle Sapphire)

Where to Find	Smokehouse

Head into the Smokehouse, defeat all the enemies inside, use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a coat hanging on the north wall by the door, pull it down, and a Circle Sapphire will drop.

Gem #2 (Triangle Sapphire)

Where to Find	Fishing Hut

Head towards the Fishing Hut after the cutscene with the Boo, suck up the snow by the entrance on the left, and you will obtain a Triangle Sapphire.

Gem #4 (Football Sapphire)

Where to Find	High Wires

Head to the High Wires, use the Poltergust to swing onto the platform with a nest on the west wall, use the Strobulb to scare the birds, and use the Poltergust again to suck the Football Sapphire.

Gem #5 (Drop Sapphire)

Where to Find	Airway

Head to the Airway via the Terminal and use the telescope to see that the gem was dropped into a barrel by a bat. Head to the Airway via the Basin, go across the rope bridge, and interact with the barrel on the other side to obtain the Drop Sapphire.

Where to Find	Chalet Approach

Head out to Chalet Approach, use your Poltergust to get the flaming turkey on top of the grill in the west, use it on the frozen painting just down the stairs on the east, and use the Dark-Light Device on the painting to obtain the Stone Sapphire.

Where to Find	Prospector's Crossing

Head into Prospector's Crossing, use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a hidden pickaxe near the hanging lantern, use the Poltergust on the pickaxe to reveal hidden blocks of wood behind the wall, and use the wooden blocks to break the ice where the Rhombus Sapphire is stuck.

Gem #8 (Star Sapphire)

Where to Find	Skip Slope

Slide down the Skip Slope, head towards the left side, and try to grab the Star Sapphire as you're sliding down.

Gem #9 (Octagon Sapphire)

Where to Find	Shaft

Head down the Shaft by using the Poltergust to turn the gear on the lift, once you reach the bottom, pull the chain, then head up until you see a hole containing the Octagon Sapphire.

Gem #10 (Oval Sapphire)

Where to Find	Deep Hall

After you have transported some rocks from Pit Mine, use the Poltergust on the rocks and set it on fire in the fire pit, then aim the flaming rock on the ceiling just above the fire pit, and the Oval Sapphire will drop.

Booger Location

Enter the chalet and use the Dark-Light Device in the northeast corner, where a rocking chair originally was. Suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.
