B-3 Graveyard Shift Gems and Boo Location Guide

A walkthrough for B-3 Graveyard Shift in Luigi's Mansion 2 HD (Dark Moon) for the Nintendo Switch. Read on for a detailed guide for B-3 Graveyard Shift, including how to get 3 stars, gem locations, location of the boo, as well as the secret door location.

B-3 Objectives

B-3 How to Get 3 Stars

These numbers are values we got based on our runs. If you got 3-Stars with better scores, take pride in it and share a picture in our Missions Record Boards!

Attach the Pinwheel Vanes

Entrance

Upon arriving, head to the tree and interact with it to get two Gold Spiders for two Gold Bars. Remove the plant from the pipe and fill the nearby bucket so you can water the two plants on the eastern side for spike ball fruits. Use the fruit to take out the flytrap monster and head into the Courtyard once you're ready.

You willl find a Slammer trying to take the last Pinwheel Piece. After the cutscene, two more Slammers will appear. Try to get to the entrance, so that you can get all the Slammers with one flash of your Strobulb. After defeating them, the Greenie will reappear, so just suck it up to enable you to go ahead and fix the Pinwheel Gate.

Optional Side: Hydro Generator

You can go to the Hydro Generator for some extra gold. If you don't remember how to get to there, go to the Courtyard, then enter the right room. Be sure to grab the Gold Greenie inside the room.

Back in the Courtyard, interact with the gate, so Luigi can fix it. You can then use the Poltergust to blow on it and open the gate to the Hollow Tree.

Find the Mysterious Passage

Head up the left stairs to get a Slammer to appear. Keep heading up with the West staricase always having a Ghost appear so grab them if you want, head the other set of stairs if you want to go fast. Once you reach the top, suck up the end of the web and pull it near the torch to burn it.

The room will then close back up and E. Gadd will tell you that you need a key from the crypt. There will be a web sac in the foreground, so grab onto that and Luigi will bungee down.

Once you are back at 1F, grab a ball of web and light it up with a torch, you need to hold X to keep it dry when lit. Use it to burn the web up north, but don't go into the room just yet.

First, you can head west with it to burn a few webs and some Gold Spiders along with a bucket. Drop the ball and get the bucket. Fill the bucket up with water, and head east to water a plant to get the Rhombus Emerald. Then, you can head north to the Tree Root.

Search the Crypt for a Special Key

Head west and you will see a vine and a musroom covered moss curtain. Grab the vine ball first to get three Gold Spiders for free money. You can then tug on the moss curtain to reveal another vine ball. Pull on the vine ball, and a small hole will appear, which will launch you into the Old Graveyard.

After getting there, make sure to look up and you can grab the Star Emerald. Head east and before heading to the Crypt, there is a small monument farther to the east just northwest of the coffin with the stairs. Blow out all the candles and a Gold Greenie will appear. Go back to the left and you can now proceed to the crypt.

Once you enter, you can grab a few Hearts by examining the coffin, but to proceed you need to pull on the golden vine ball three times to make the wall collapse. You will see a vase to your left and a Toad painting. On the opposite end of the vase, you can shine your Darklight to reveal another vase containing a Boo. Make sure to not use your Darklight on the Toad Painting as it will trigger a cutscene.

After catching the Boo, you can now use your Darklight on the Toad painting and a Toad will pop out. After thanking you for saving him, E. Gadd will tell you to take him to the Gardener's Lab.

Send Toad to the Bunker

Old Graveyard

Once out, head into the right but you will be stopped by the Three Sisters, Herlinda, Lucinda, and Belinda. The battle is pretty easy, they just have a ton of health.

They will circle around you holding a mirror except for one who will taunt you. Hold your Stobulb and immediately strobe the one who is taunting. The other sisters will try to whack you with their mirror while capturing the other one so feel free to let go if you think you're going to get hit.

Once beaten, proceed to vacuum up the Toad and head to the coffin with the stairs to the east. This should lead you back down into the sewers.

Sewers

Once you're at the Sewers, go west until you see multiple coffins. Examine the coffin nearest to the camera and you will be taken to a room separate from the map.

In this room, you have 13 seconds to grab all the Red Coins, we recommend to go clockwise and just bolt it, as long as you're running the flytraps won't get you. Completing this will net you a 100 Gold before kicking you out. Head back outside and you can now go back to the Gardener's Lab.

Gardener's Lab

Again, vacuum up the Toad and take him across the water. Head west, and interact with the Pixelator to finish the stage!

Gem #1 (Circle Emerald)

Where to Find	Tower Lobby

Head towards the area behind the first flight of stairs in the Tower Lobby. From there, acquire the gem you find in the area.

Gem #3 (Rectangle Emerald)

Where to Find	Garden

Use the Poltergust to water the flower located on the southeast portion of the area. After the flower blooms, flash it with the Strobulb to reveal the hidden gem.

Gem #4 (Football Emerald)

Use the Poltergust to water the flower located on the northeast portion of the area. After watering the flower on the left and waiting for it to bloom, flash it with the Strobulb to reveal the hidden gem.

Gem #5 (Drop Emerald)

Proceed towards the shooter mechanism in the area, and shoot the mouse dashing around the room. Hitting it will grant you the hidden gem.

Gem #6 (Stone Emerald)

Once you've gained access to the Maintenance area, fix the pipes by the stairs, then shoot a seed pod towards the giant flytrap in the area. From there, proceed towards the chest to acquire the hidden gem.

After the cutscene where Luigi goes down with a web, suck up a web ball, set it on fire with the torch, and head to the west cave to burn down the cobwebs.
Then, grab the bucket, fill it with water in the pond in the middle, water the flower in the east cave, use the Strobulb on the flower, and it will drop the Rhombus Emerald.

Upon entering the old graveyard, use the Poltergust to suck the Star Emerald that is hanging on a vine.

Booluga Location

Enter the crypt, bring down the north wall by pulling the vine stuck to it, and use the Dark-Light Device on the right side of the unlocked area, opposite the vase on the left, where a vase originally was. Suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.
