How to Get the Strobulb

Obtain in A-1 Poltergust 5000

You will unlock the Strobulb in the game's first mission, A-1 Poltergust 5000. In this level, you will learn all about your main equipment and how to use it, as this serves as the game's tutorial level.

Cannot Be Upgraded

The Strobulb does not have any upgrades, unlike the Poltergust 5000 and the Dark-Light Device.

What you get at the beginning of the game will be the same Strobulb flashlight that you will use throughout the rest of the game.

How to Use Strobulb

Press A to Flash

Pressing the A button will cause the Strobulb flashlight to emit a flash of light. This will stun any ghost hovering in the way, which makes them vulnerable and ready to be captured with your Poltergust.

Use to Open Green Panels

The Strobulb's light can also be used on green panels that will unlock doors on certain floors.

Hold A to Charge Light

The Strobulb can be charged if you hold the A button. Releasing it once it is fully charged will emit a brighter flash that is able to stun multiple ghosts at once.
