A-1 Poltergust 5000 Gems and Boo Location Guide

This is a walkthrough for all gems in A1 Poltergust, as well as how to clear the level and find the boo in Luigi's Mansion 2 HD for the Nintendo Switch. Read on for a detailed guide for A-1 Poltergust 5000, including how to get 3 stars, gem locations, as well as the location of the boo.

A-1 Objectives

A-1 How to Get 3 Stars

Find the Poltergust 5000

Once the mission begins, walk your way up to the Front Yard. Go up the porch and check the windows on the left side. After seeing the Ghosts, go back to the front door. Folow the mouse with the Key down the Front Yard. Get the Key to unlock the front door.

Once inside the Entrance, head to the door on the left to the Garage. Inspect the car in the middle of the Garage to find the Poltergust 5000. After the short cutscene, vacuum the trash pile that falls blocking the door.

Vacuum the rest of the trash pile to get to the cabinets. Use the Poltergust to suck up all the treasures in the Garage. Vacuum up the cloth hiding the chest, and get the Key inside.

Go back to the Entrance use the Poltergust to vacuum the curtain to reveal the door to the Mudroom. When you go in the Mudroom, use the Poltergust on the ceiling fan to blow the Key to the ground.

Once you have the Key, blow the rug out of the way to reveal a hidden floor switch. Step on the switch to open a hidden panel on the wall with treasure. Go back to the Entrance and head through the Guard Hall. Run through the Guard Hall to reach the Foyer.

Find the Missing Strobulb

After the cutscene, E. Gadd informs you that you need to find Strobulb in the Foyer. Run up the stairs to the end of the walkway. Blow at the rotor to lower the chandelier. Go back down the stair to get the Strobulb from the chandelier.

Once you obtain the Strobulb, you'll get another call from E. Gadd. After the call, go up the stairs to open the safe and collect the treasure inside. Afterwards head back to the Entrance and use the Poltergust to extinguish the flames on the chandelier and vacuum the treasure that falls.

Go back to the Front Yard to get the Triangle Amethyst near the flowers using the Strobulb. Go back inside to the Mudroom and use the Strobulb to open the door to the Mudroom Exterior. Explore the area and get the Circle Amethyst from a tree.

Catch Some Ghosts

Run back into the Foyer and unlock the Coatroom with the Strobulb. Once inside, the lights will be off, meaning an enemy is inside. Keep on interacting with objects in the room to collect treasure. Afterwards, interact with the toilet to reveal a hidden area inside the Coatroom.

A Greenie will be taking a shower in the hidden room. Use the Poltergust on the curtains, revealing the Greenie and prompting it to flee. Use the toilet again to get back to the Coatroom. Attempt to leave the room, then flash the Strobulb to stun the Greenie and use the Poltergust to capture it. Capture the second Greenie in the Coatroom to escape.

Exit the Coatroom back to the Foyer and you'll find more Greenies by the fountain. Use the Strobulb and Poltergust to capture the remaining ghosts to end the mission.

Gem #1 (Circle Amethyst)

Where to Find	Mudroom Exterior

Head to the Entrance after obtaining the Strobobulb. Go into the east room, and flash the light there to unlock the door to the Mudroom Exterior. Head Norwest, then aim up and use the Poltergust to vacuum it from the tree.

Head out to the Front Yard, use the Strobulb on the second flower from the right, and the flower will drop the Triangle Amethyst

Boogie Woogie Location

Enter the garage, suck up all the dust, and use the Dark-Light Device in the northeast corner near the drawers, where the wooden stool originally was. Suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.

This Boo can only be captured by replaying the mission after gaining the Dark-Light Device from A-4 Visual Tricks.
