It can take at least 10 hours to finish the story of Luigi's Mansion 2 HD (Dark Moon) and around 40 hours to 100% the game. Read on to know how long it takes to beat the game and what factors can affect your play time.

Focusing only on the main story missions should take about 10 to 15 hours to complete. This includes both regular missions and boss missions, but does not include getting all of the collectibles or completing the bonus missions.
Dark Moon Quest Walkthrough: All Mansions and Stages
Completing 100% of the game involves getting a 3-star rank on all missions, finding all ghosts, and gathering all collectibles, which completes the vault.
This should take about 25 to 40 hours depending on whether you have people to play with on ScareScraper Mode or not, and how lucky you are with regards to boss spawns in that mode.
The bulk of your time when trying for a 100% run will be spent on collecting ScareScraper ghosts to fill the vault's Ghost Container. These ghosts are unique to ScareScraper Mode, so you won't be able to encounter them while playing through missions, and they can only be found on every 5th floor.
ScareScrapers are easier to take on when playing with other people. Playing multiplayer can also greatly decrease the time you need to 100% the game. You can also take on ScareScrapers solo, but it will take more time to get all the ghosts you need.
