Boo Locations: Where to Find All Boos

Boos are a special ghost and Vault collectible found in each mission of Luigi's Mansion 2 HD (Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon). See all boo locations, how to catch them, as well as rewards for getting all boos!

How to Use the Interactive Map

The Interactive Map both shows the location of key points on the map, and doubles as a collectible checker.

1. Click an icon on the right side to show all the pins of a specific type, or click the magnifying glass button to search for a specific pin by name.
2. Click a pin on the map to see its name and description, and a relevant picture or video if available.
3. From here, click Mark as Acquired to indicate that you've gotten a collectible already. This will change its icon on the map to show that it has been collected, and add 1 to that pin type's Counter.
4. To undo this, click on the same pin and click Restore to unclaimed.
5. To check how many pins you have marked so far, check the Counter in the bottom left, and click the icon that looks like a checklist to see counters for all pin types.
6. If the collected pins start to get in the way, you can hide them all by clicking the green Show Pins button on the left side.

Icon	How to Use
	Show Names This button reveals the Name of every icon currently shown.
	Show Pins This button will toggle between showing and hiding all the pins which you have already marked as acquired.
	Fullscreen This button will change the map display to fill the screen.
	Search Mode Toggle This button will display a searchbar which you can use to search for an individual pin by its name.
	Icon Mode Toggle In Search Mode, this button will toggle you back to Icon Mode, removing the search bar and displaying the icons again.
	All Pins This button is shown along with the Icons on the right when there are over 6 types of pins. Click it for a full selection of all available pin types.
	Counter Tracks the number of pins you have of a certain type. The pin type shown is set to the page and currently cannot be changed; however, all pin type counters can be viewed by clicking the checklist icon on the right side.
	View All Counters This icon is found on the right side of the Counter. When a map has more than one pin type, click this icon to see Counters for all pin types.
	Zoom In / Zoom Out This icon is found on the top left side of the map. You can press these buttons, or use your scroll wheel while hovering, to Zoom In and Out of the interactive map.

Gloomy Manor

	A-1 Poltergust 5000	Boogie Woogie	20	Room: Garage Enter the garage, suck up all the dust, and use the Dark-Light Device in the northeast corner near the drawers, where the wooden stool originally was. Suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.
	A-2 Gear Up	BaBoon	20	Room: Mudroom Enter the mudroom and use the Dark-Light Device in the south wall where a small table originally was. Suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.
	A-3 Quiet Please!	Boo Boo	20	Room: Studio Enter the studio, remove the sheet that is covering the painting canvas, and use the Dark-Light Device where the painting canvas originally was. Suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.
	A-4 Visual Tricks	Unnamed Boo	15	Room: Dining Room Enter the dining room and use the Dark-Light Device in the middle of the room where the dining table originally was. Suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.
	A-5 Sticky Situation	Boothoven	20	Room: Library Enter the library and use the Dark-Light Device in the northeast corner where the piano originally was. Suck up the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.

Boos in A-1 to A-3, can only be found after getting the Dark-Light Device in A-4 and replaying their respective missions.

Haunted Towers

	B-1 A Job for a Plumber	MamBoo	25	Room: Hydro Generator Enter the hydro generator and use the Dark-Light Device in the east side of the room, where a drawer originally was. The drawer is on the left side of the chest, then suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.
	B-2 The Pinwheel Gate	Boolean	25	Room: Sewer Enter the sewer and pull the flower near the entrance. Be careful not to get damaged by the spirit balls thrown by the Boo.
	B-3 Graveyard Shift	Booluga	25	Room: Crypt Enter the crypt, bring down the north wall by pulling the vine stuck to it, and use the Dark-Light Device on the right side of the unlocked area, opposite the vase on the left, where a vase originally was. Suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.
	B-4 Pool Party	Boo B. Trap	25	Room: Family Room Enter the family room and use the Dark-Light Device on the left side of the kitchen area of the room, where a drawer originally was. The drawer is beside the sink, then suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.
	B-5 Doggone Key	French Boodle	25	Room: Tool Shed Enter the tool shed and use the Dark-Light Device on the drawer on the north side, and a ghost pup will appear. Chase the pup in the garden, reenter the tool shed, use the Dark-Light Device all around the room to reveal all the furniture, and suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.

Old Clockworks

	C-1 A Timely Entrance	ComBooter	30	Room: Warehouse Enter the warehouse, grab the red barrel on the east side of the room, and pull its red wrap by placing it on the machine by the entrance.
	C-2 Underground Expedition	Bootine	30	Room: Quarry Enter the quarry, and after filling the room with sand, use the Dark-Light Device to reveal a wooden bridge on the path that leads to the door on the upper side. Suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.
	C-3 Roundhouse Brawl	Boodunkulous	30	Room: Kiln Room Enter the kiln room and defeat all the enemies inside. Then, the Boo will appear afterwards.
	C-4 Play Catch	JamBoolaya	30	Room: Clock Tower Gate Enter the clock tower gate and use the Dark-Light Device on the right side of the big clock, where a lantern originally was. Suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.
	C-5 Piece at Last	Boony Raboot	30	Room: Crank Room Enter the crank room, follow the path on the south side, pull down the sheet covering the hidden area at the end of the path, and use the Dark-Light Device in the southwest cover of the hidden area where a toolbox originally was. Suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.

Secret Mine

	D-1 Cold Case	Boofoon	35	Room: Terminal Enter the terminal, pull down the sheet on the east side to reveal a huge mirror, and use the Dark-Light Device on the barrel opposite to the mirror. Suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.
	D-2 Hit Rock Bottom	Booger	35	Room: Chalet Enter the chalet and use the Dark-Light Device in the northeast corner, where a rocking chair originally was. Suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.
	D-3 Across the Chasm	ParaBoola	35	Room: Deep Hall Enter the deep hall, use the Dark-Light Device on the fire pit where a tea kettle originally was, suck up all the spirit balls, and push the kettle above the fire to reveal the Boo.

Treacherous Mansion

	E-1 Front-Door Key	Booll	40	Room: Underground Lab Enter the underground lab, defeat all the enemies inside, turn the valve on the north wall to shock the armor on the table, and the Boo will appear.
	E-2 Double Trouble	Boopa Troopa	35	Room: Inner Courtyard Enter the inner courtyard, shoot the toads in the cages of the statue in the middle of the area, and a Boo will appear.
	E-3 A Train to Catch	Booreaucrat	40	Room: Dark Age Exhibit Get a bulb from the study portal in the upper right of the front entrance, use the bulb to float on the upper floor of the dark age exhibit, use the golden bulb on the upper right platform, collect the coins, and open the chest afterwards, and a Boo will appear.
	E-4 Ambush Maneuver	Big Boo		Room: Train Exhibit Enter the train exhibit and use the Dark-Light Device on the north side, where the train engine originally was. Suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.
	E-5 Paranormal Chaos	MaraBoo	40	Room: Aviation Exhibit Enter the aviation exhibit and use the Dark-Light Device in the middle of the room, where the hot air balloon originally was. Suck up all the spirit balls to reveal the Boo.

How to Find the Boos

Use the Dark-Light Device

You need to use the Dark-Light Device that is obtained in Mission A-4 to reveal hidden objects that spawn out spirit balls when hit, and after collecting all of them, a Boo will appear.

Solve Puzzles

You sometimes need to solve puzzles to reveal chests or rewards, and upon interacting with said rewards, a Boo will appear in front of it.

Defeat all the Enemies

You sometimes need to defeat all the enemies inside a room, and then a Boo will appear afterwards.

Boo Completion Rewards

Boo Medals

You get a Boo Medal beside the mission name in the mission screen everytime you succesfully capture a Boo.

Bonus Missions

Collecting all Boos in a mansion unlocks a Bonus level for that mansion. Bonus Levels have to be completed with a rating of 3 stars for 100% completion.

Vault Completion

All boos capture go in a vault. Getting all of them and completing the vault is also required for 100% completion.
