Mummies are disguised ghosts that have to be unwrapped before catching them in Luigi's Mansion 2 HD (Dark Moon). Read on for a step-by-step guide on how to beat mummies as well as more information about mummies in the game.

How to Beat Mummies
Flash Your Strobulb
To defeat a mummy, first you need to use the Strobulb to stun it. It should then blindly charge straight towards Luigi.
Try to stay near a wall or some kind of obstacle before using your Strobulb on a mummy, so that it will run directly into this obstruction and fall over.
Vacuum Their Wrappings
Upon falling over, you'll notice that a part of the mummy's wrappings sticks out. Vacuum this up with your Poltergust to unravel its wrappings, revealing a Greenie hidden underneath.
Catch the Ghost Hidden Beneath
After the mummy wrappings come undone, you can catch the ghost how you normally would. Stun it again with the Strobulb, and then vacuum it up. Use your Power Gauge to pull it for some gold.
What are Mummies?
Disguised Ghosts
Mummies are simply ghosts, usually Greenies, that have disguised themselves by standing on stilts and wrapping themselves. Upon unraveling their wrappings, they become regular ghosts.
Found in Sandy Areas
Mummies are more commonly found in the desert-like Old Clockworks area. They can also appear in the Ancient Exhibit area of the Treacherous Mansion.
