Much like normal Greenies, Luigi has to first flash Strong Greenies using the Strobulb. This will stun them and put them in a more vulnerable position.
After stunning them with Strobulb, Luigi can now capture them using the Poltergust. Since the Strong Greenie has more HP compared to the normal one, it will take a slightly longer time to capture them.
Strong Greenies behave the same as the regular Greenies. They can equip objects to act as weapons and shields against Luigi, making them even more difficult to deal with.
Below are the ways to deal with Greenie variations.
Greenies that are wearing goggles can protect themselves from Luigi's Strobulb.
To deal with them, Luigi has to use the Poltergust to remove their goggles first, making them vulnerable to the Strobulb. Then, Luigi can now use the Strobulb to stun them, and capture them with the Poltergust.
Strong Greenies that are wielding objects like a rolling pin, hammer, hockey stick, pickaxe, sword, shovels, or spears can use them as weapons and swing them at Luigi.
In particular, Strong Greenies who are wielding rolling pin, hammer, hockey stick, pickaxe, or sword are also often wielding some type of shield to protect them from Luigi's Strobulb. On the other hand, Strong Greenies who are wielding shovels or spears can use them to shield their faces from Luigi's Strobulb.
To deal with them, Luigi has to wait for them to lunge at him and dodge their attack. After lunging, they will be at a vulnerable position for a short time. Once they're vulnerable, Luigi can now stun them with the Strobulb, then capture them using the Poltergust.
Strong Greenies that are wearing a bucket, hat, or helmet, or carrying coal or a rock can protect themselves from Luigi's Strobulb. However, as a consequence of not being able to see, they will peek out from time to time, making them vulnerable to Luigi's Strobulb.
To deal with them, Luigi has to wait for them to peek out. Once they show their faces, Luigi can now flash them with the Strobulb, then capture them using the Poltergust.
Strong Greenies that create a whirlwind in the sand can suck in Luigi if he's near it. They will also be hidden momentarily, making them invulnerable to Luigi's Strobulb.
To deal with them, Luigi has to keep its distance from the whirlwind and wait for them to show themselves. Once they reveal themselves, Luigi can now use the Strobulb to stun them, then capture them using the Poltergust.
Strong Greenies that disguise themselves as mummies won't be affected by Luigi's Strobulb. They will also charge at Luigi and try to grab him.
To deal with them, Luigi has to lure them near a wall. When they charge at him, Luigi can dodge and force them to bump into the wall. When they bump into a wall, they will fall down and expose a piece of bandage. Luigi then has to use the Poltergust to remove the bandages and expose the Strong Greenie hiding inside. Once exposed, use the Strobulb to stun them, then capture them using the Poltergust.
