The Poltergust 5000 is one of Luigi's equipment in Luigi's Mansion 2 HD. Read on to learn more about the Poltergust 5000, how to unlock and use it, as well as the available upgrades for this equipment!
List of Contents
You will unlock the Poltergust 5000 in the game's first mission, A-1 Poltergust 5000. In this level, you will learn all about your main equipment and how to use it, as this serves as the game's tutorial level.
A-1 Poltergust 5000 Walkthrough
Holding the ZR button will make the Poltergust 5000 suck air, vacuuming any objects, loot, or ghosts, which is how you will damage and capture them.
Once you grab hold of an object or a ghost, you can hold the L stick towards Luigi to make him pull whatever the Poltergust is sucking.
This charges up the Power Gauge, which allows you to use a Power Surge once it is fully charged.
Once the Power Gauge is full, you can press the A button to perform a Power Surge, which deals a large amount of damage against ghosts.
Capturing ghosts with Power Surges will reward you with a lot more treasure, so try to capture ghosts this way.
The Poltergust 5000 can also blow air if you hold the ZL button. This will blow air to wherever the gadget is pointing.
Collecting a set amount of treasure and loot will upgrade the Poltergust 5000's Power Gauge, which improves Luigi's Power Surge move and makes it deal more damage.
