FF7 Remake Release on Other Platforms

Xbox One / Xbox Series X

Like PC, there has also not been any official word on support for Microsoft consoles like Xbox One and Xbox Series X. As one of the most highly anticipated next-gen titles, this gives a strong edge to owning a Sony console as opposed to a Microsoft one. However, the idea has never been outright rejected, so there does remain a possibility that we might eventually see an Xbox release, though it is unclear when.

Nintendo Switch

As Sony's biggest console rival in the Japanese gaming market, many Nintendo fans would also likely greatly appreciate a Switch port of FF7 Remake. Once again, no official word has ever been announced as to whether or not the game will someday come to the Switch. However, given the system's hardware limitations in comparison to the PS4, it seems unlikely at this time that we will see a Nintendo version of FF7 Remake anytime soon.
