Codex Entry
Tyr was the War Lord of the Aesir until Odin defeated him in a match of martial skills. He deemed the contest honestly won and embraced his new role of the loyal lieutenant. Odin rewarded this show of trust by making Tyr his confidant and chief lawgiver.
While he prides himself on his unchallenged reputation as a fair and even-handed judge, Tyr occasionally expresses an intense distrust of the Vanir over reason he refuses to fully disclose.
