Ok so: I was able to start the quest, infiltrate the camp, acquire the ale, and escape with it successfully. Ake wasn't along the coast with his boat. I went up the cliffs where the mission started and Ake was just standing there and wouldn't interact. Then suddenly, a zealot appeared and Ake jumped OFF THE CLIFF and started fighting her????? And kept requesting for me to revive him. I kept getting myself killed and restarted the entire game to try and reset everything, but nothing works 😭

After many failed attempts (disintegrating boats, getting chased by zealots and boars) I managed to get the barrel to Ake and his boat after raiding the camp but he won't talk to me and there was no one chasing me. I checked the camp and couldn't find any enemies to kill. I then tried just stealing the barrel without calling a raid but there was no barrel to steal. I'm on PS4.

I have the quest started but it gives me no marker and Alwin is literally no where to be found. As if he never spawned in.

I got to the end but the boat was not there. So it didn’t let me continue.

same for me. Ake does not leave the cliffs

I can get the brew but Ake doesn't move from atop the cliff. So it's completely broken for me... :(

Similar to the "something attacks you, so you set the barrel down and it disappeared".. after I retrieved the barrel, I was running down the road to the boat, but got ambushed by 7 enemies. so i had to set it down and lost it. So if you're far enough along in the game, avoid the road and the ambush.

Fix: an anchor fast travel point is just S of the bandit camp where you first find the cask . Fast travel to the anchor, which puts you in the boat. Paddle towards the bandit camp; trigger a raid. There should be a cask in the same place you found it the 1st time. Walk back to the shore; follow the shoreline to the large broken arch. Beyond that is Ake standing and you should see a quest marker a few paces away. Walk to the marker and Eivor will drop the cask, triggering the quest's conclusion

I tried to fast travel with barrel and during fast travel I guess it was dropped I goto the marker and its 250m down under the earth....does anyone know how to fix

I put it on a boat, crashed, and then the barrel fell through the map. The market is 5000m west and 200 m underground.

I can start the quest, talk to Ake and even find the Camp AND the ale. But then the quest objecitves just STOP. It doesn't tell me what I need to do, so I googled where I need to go. I'm at the right place, but no Ake and no boat. Tried just playing other quests, since usually I can start begin anew if I do that but nope, the quest is stuck there so now I'm screwed.

When I try to pul the ale in ake’s boat it keeps telling me I’m not anonymous. Literally no one is near me and I definitely am anonymous.

I was attacked by a zealot, had to drop the ale and now it’s lost. And Eke (I think that’s the brewer in trainings name) doesn’t have a boat) I love this whole Yule festival, being that it’s actually the real precursor to how we celebrate Christmas today, just we know attribute it to Christ. I hope the fix the bugs before Friday. Really disappointed. Also, be aware of bugs in the catching cows quest. Bethram won’t follow you unless You destroy the boat.

So when it comes to fixes anyone who didnt check Google for game breaking bugs before doing a simple quest is screwed

I can’t even start it because the man in the brewery is already dead for some strange reason?
