King of Hounds Location

The King of Hounds can be found in the 5th District of New Lumos. It is a boss you will face at the end of the District.

The King of Hounds can also be found in the Tower of Dread. Players will face off against the King of Hounds at the fifth floor of the area. You may refer to the Tower of Dread Guide below.

Explanation

This is a standard, balanced team comprised of a healer, a tank and a couple of damagers. The King of Hounds doesn't really have any interesting gimmicks except for acting three times in a turn, so keep your health up, keep status ailments away, and just keep piling on the damage until you beat it.

Tips on Beating the King of Hounds

Master the Safe Spot

The Safe Spot is the most efficient method of recovery in the game, and proper use of it can help immensely with your team's survival. The recovery method is much preferred than using healing skills or Snacks, as these options are far less efficent and burn through your precious MP and turns. Don't be afraid to skip out on attacking for a turn in exchange for healing up in the Safe Spot, and always be ready to shuffle your units in and out of the Safe Spot as well.

Be Careful of the Three Actions

Unlike most other bosses the King of Hounds acts three times in a single turn, meaning it could potentially kill a party member if you're not being mindful of your teammates' conditions. Watch the boss's actions slowly and always be ready to apply Sprinkles if a teammate is brought to low HP while the boss still has actions.
