How to Preload Miitopia (Download Before Release)

This guide shows you how to preload Miitopia for the Nintendo Switch. Learn how to get Miitopia on your Switch before its release date!
Preloading Miitopia
Download in Advance
Miitopia can be downloaded 7 days in advance before the release date. The full amount of the purchase will be deducted from your Nintendo eShop balance once you place your order.
Pre-order has already started. Purchase your copy now!
Benefits of Preloading
If you preload the game Miitopia, you will be able to play the game on the day of release from 12:00 AM on May 21, 2021. If you want to be the first on your block to get into the game, preloading is the way to go!
How to Preload
Directly from the Nintendo eShop
| Step 1 |  Select the Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo Switch home page. |
|---|---|
| Step 2 |  Find Miitopia by searching via the search bar, or by going to the "Coming Soon" section. |
| Step 3 | Select Miitopia. |
| Step 4 | Select Proceed to Purchase. (Download will start after confirming the purchase) |
The Coming Soon tab is sorted by the date of the game's release. Remember – Miitopia will be released on May 21, 2021, and once you've preloaded the game, it can be played from 12:00 AM on the day of release.
Using a Download Card
| Step 1 | Select the Nintendo eShop on your Nintendo Switch homepage. |

| Step 2 |  Select Enter Code from the choices on the left side of the screen. |
| Step 3 | Enter the code from your Download Card. (The game will start downloading after entering the card details and confirming) |
Preloading Requirements
Free up Space
When purchasing the digital version of the software, a large amount of space might be needed for you to be able to download it. If other software is squeezing the capacity, consider purchasing an SD card or try organizing your storage.
Storage Requirement
The storage requirement of the Miitopia is a total of 3.0 GB. Your Nintendo Switch has a built-in 32GB of space so if your memory is full, you might need to delete other game data, or prepare a microSD card to store more. Make sure your Nintendo Switch has enough memory space available for the game before preloading.
