Ravus becomes a boss in the Reunion and Recovery quest. He moves slow, but his attacks have a long range. He can use a slashing motion to attack opponents from long range, or drive his sword into the ground to make dark tentacles do his bidding for him from afar. Lastly, Ravus can also dash from across the room, slamming and slashing into his opponents to instantly close the distance between them.

How to Beat Ravus

Ravus' attacks, no matter how devastating they appear, can be parried; his tentacle attack, meanwhile, can be dodged. The Ring of the Lucii is also useful to use against Ravus, since he is particularly weak against Holy-element attacks. Continue to cycle through a parry-counter cycle until you see him take a knee, then unleash your most powerful attacks and counters on him.

Link-strikes and blindside attacks are fairly easy to perform against him, as Ravus moves slowly. Do so until you can see him glowing menacingly; this usually means that his HP is going down, and he is just a few more attacks from falling.
