FFXV Express Train for Trouble Walkthrough

List of Objectives
1 Ardyn will be shown in the train. Noct will be trying to attack him.
2 Pursue Ardyn in the train. Once you've finally caught up with him, he will disappear once more.
3 Prompto catches up with you. Check the rear cars to see if Ardyn is still there.
4 The train will be under attack as Noct tries to move through.
5 Defend the Train from Imperial attacks. Failing to do so will result in a 'Game Over'.
6 A tank will roll in to give the Imperials' coup de grace on the train. Destroy it to proceed.
7 The train will start to move again and the Imperial ships will fire on it. Destroy them to proceed.
8 When you get back on the ship, you'll see Ardyn cornering Prompto.
9 Confront Ardyn. He will disappear and Noct appears to push Prompto off the train. Taking advantage of Noctis' shock and dismay, Ardyn appears and disarms the prince.

Tips and Strategies

This is a list of important things to do in the quest Express Train for Trouble. Read on to find out which of them is crucial to proceeding.

  • Save your Warp for when you really need it. The spear is also great at going toe-to-toe with Imperials, and Noct can move freely around using it.
  • Use Point-Warp to move from ship-to-ship and destroy the static Shock Troopers. Their destruction will cause the ships to explode.
