Party of Three - Story Walkthrough and Guide

This page is for Party of Three, the first Quest of Chapter 7 of Final Fantasy XV (FF15, FFXV). Read on for more information about which side quests, bosses, and items are available in this chapter!

FFXV Party of Three Walkthrough

List of Objectives
1	Head to Steyliff Grove. When you reach the area, you'll notice that Ardyn is there.
2	Speak to Ardyn then follow him afterwards. Ardyn will put in a word for you, allowing Aranea to 'escort you into the dungeons.
3	Aranea will join your party as a 'guest' to help you search for the Mythril.
4	You'll have to wait until nightfall for a specific condition. The dungeon doors will open. Prepare to face off against enemies such as Lv24 Skeletons, Lv25 Reapers, and Lv26 Creme Brulees.
5	Make your way through the temple dungeon, but watch out for sections that will crumble. One such section will drop you into an ambush of Skeletons and Reapers, which you need to prepare against.
6	A Lv30 Iron Giant will also be waiting in here. Use your weapon advantage against it.
7	Defeating the Iron Giant will trigger a sequence where fallen sections of the dungeon will be repaired, giving you a path toward the Mythril.
8	On a bridge crossing, you're going to be facing a party of skeletons, Reapers, and flans. Best be prepared.
9	Another enemy you're going to face against are Lv27 Liches. These are tough spellcasters, but nothing you can't handle. What is annoying is that there are sections here which can cut you off the rest of your party. Proceed with caution.
10	When you reach the floor of the Mythril Ore, you'll be beset with a Lv32 Quetzalcoatl. Defeat it to proceed.
11	Return to the entrance once you're done. When you return, the entrance will be a flooded and stormy mess
12	Cindy will also call about the Mythril. Speak to Aranea after the cutscene to move on to the next quest.

Tips and Strategies

This is a list of important things to do in the quest Party of Three. Read on to find out which of them is crucial to proceeding.

• Exploit the elemental weaknesses of all enemies in the dungeon.
• Use Aranea generously to help clear out whole rooms of enemies.
• Proceed slowly as there are areas where you'll be cut off all alone if you're not careful.
• Use weapon advantages against tough foes to gain an advantage.

Quetzalcoatl

• It likes to fly around, so be prepared to time your warp-attacks carefully.
• It is a Thunder-element user, be prepared to counter with Ice attacks, or whatever it's weak against.
• There is a point when it's vulnerable on the ground. Pounce on it with heavy attacks then.

Iron Giant

• It is a slow-moving melee frontliner. Use speed to finish it off.
• The spear works fine against it, as you can blink in and out of the battle at will.
• Concentrate on the Skeletons and Flans first before you focus on the main enemy.
• Once the whole party can focus on it, stay a safe distance away from it. Blink in and out before it can hit you with its melee attacks, and it will go down without much fight.
