A guide on the playtime for Assassin's Creed Valahalla. Read on to find out about the main story's length, how long it will take to finish Mysteries, finding all Artifacts, and how much time each DLC will add to your playthrough!
List of Contents
Due to how jam packed Assassin's Creed Valhalla is with content, it's no surprise then that it will take players relatively between 50-60 Hours to finish just the main quest, which include region specific quests. The playtime can be increased to ~70 Hours if you play at a leisurely pace.
Mysteries take the place of side quests in the game. Given that there are more than 10 Mysteries in each region, which are locked behind Power Level restrictions that require you to have equal or greater than the Power Level indicated for the region, finishing up with Mysteries might tack on 20-30 Hours of additional gameplay.
This playtime might be reduced if you're playing through the Mysteries in a second playthrough, or if you quickly rush through them.
Mysteries Guides and Locations
Apart from Mysteries, Artifacts are also spread around many of the different locations that you visit in the game. Collecting all of them – some of these are found in locations you explore with Mysteries – will require around 10 Hours of additional playthrough, less if these are found alongside when you do Mysteries.
Artifacts Guides and Locations
Similar to collecting Artifacts, Wealth is a separate set of collectibiles altogether. These come in the form of new armors and weapons, gold, or resources you'll need for your settlement. Collecting all of these can take a good 10-15+ Hours.
Playing through the entirety of the base game of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, without any of the DLCs, will take anywhere between 130 to 160+ Hours depending on the pace you're going at. This includes accomplishing all the Mysteries, Artifacts, and finishing all the alternate regions. This playtime does not include the DLCs, which are set to release sometime in 2021.
This estimated playtime does not include the seasonal additions to the game, like Festivals.
As the shortest of the three planned DLCs and exclusive only to those with the Season Pass, the Legend of Beowulf DLC is a relatively short bonus mission that you can undertake sometime after you arrive at England. It adds around 1+ Hours of added gameplay to your total game time.
Legend of Beowulf Release Date and New Content
This DLC adds a brand new worldspace to the game in the form of Ireland. Wrath of the Druids adds new locations, mysteries, artifacts and wealth, along with a brand new storyline. The storyline will take about 10 hours while all the side activities could take about 5 to 10 hours depending on completion. The new trade system will also add a lot of playtime if you intend to complete it.
