It’s one of the most powerful weapons. When combined with a few specific charms for a burst-damage setup, you can hunt down bosses in an instant — even on the highest difficulty.
Pretty damn useless as weapon, it shouldve been indestructable, otherwise its so damn stupid midfight it switches from one moveset to another, all because its durability decreesed. If it isnt sacred sword moveset you are better off to have sickle or knife.
Seems like there needs to be a correction, I was able to obtain it at poster 3 instead of one. I assume the same cutscene I saw plays out here too
naturally its a "fun" weapon with a little gimmick on special attack. you're better off using real weapons as once this thing hits 0 Durability it cannot deal damage and its about as durable as the kitchen knife... 3-4 enemies per full durability bar. Length is based on Ending Completion count as it gets longer in each NG+ state ranging from sickle to metal pipe in length. The game is also easy enough to run around 80% of the enemies until late game anyway so its just for fun if you like Sci-Fi.
You seem to be correct. On my 4th playthrough, the blade now has a medium weapon move-set with a longer blade.
I think the blade length depends on how many endings you have done on that save file. Mine essentially looks the same length as the sacred sword. I have done 4 of the 5 endings. So maybe it refers to playthroughs as "experience".
+1 I can’t use it at 0 durability either. The blade snaps off and needs to be repaired. Also, the blade’s length seems to change based on something, possibly combat experience or near-death encounters based on the item and journal descriptions, respectively, but no one seems to know for sure. Regardless, the PP-8001 is a good light weapon with a ranged stun attack. It can easily kill the glowing monsters using the ranged stun followed by a few light attacks.
Umm. Just got this and at 0 durability. It doesn't hit anything. No damage. Can still use its charge thing to I guess stun mobs, but back to the regular weapons. Thing depletes very fast when at max too. Not sure how this weapon is rated so high.
