What are Raider Rides

What are Raider Rides

Raider Rides are one way of traveling through a map without having to walk. You gain access to Raider Rides, also called Tailraider Monsters, once you befriend a lot of Grimalkyne tribes. For each tribe, a new Raider Ride is unlocked, which your Palico can befriend and battle with you.

Once you have unlocked Raider rides, you gain an item named Raider Ride which you can equip for quests and expeditions.

To learn more about the different Grimalkyne tribes, read about them on our article linked below!

How to Use Raider Rides

Calling Raider Rides

Once you have the Raider Ride item equipped, you can choose to activate it. Keep in mind that you cannot call for Raider Rides if the monster is tired. You also cannot call Raider Rides if you are inside a Hunter Camp. If the Raider Ride is busy, it will not come to you.

Controlling your Raider Rides

Controlling your Raider Rides

You cannot control a Raider Ride directly. They will follow traces of scoutflies, or you can choose to set a destination. You can choose to track a resource or a monster by opening your wildlife map and selecting it. The Raider Ride will then start traveling to the set destination. If the monster you are tracking starts moving, the Raider Ride will still follow it wherever it goes.

While on a Raider Ride

You can still gather items, sharpen your weapon, and sort your inventory while you are on a Raider Ride.
