How to Unlock Holding Back the Dark

Location Lestallum
Unlock Condition Complete "Power to the Pylons"

Holding Back the Dark Clear Conditions and Rewards

Clear Condition Check the valves at the top of each Pylon.
Reward 4,000 EXP
10,000 gil

How to Complete Holding Back the Dark

How to Begin

To begin this sidequest, you need to complete first the Power to the Pylons sidequest. Once done, talk to Holly and she will ask you to inspect various lights.

Locate the Lights

To look for the Lights, open your map and choose the Holding Back the Dark quest. Then, travel to the locations and follow what's on your mini-map to find all three lights that you need to inspect. Do this for every light.

Location of Lights

  • First Location: Burbost Souvenir Emporium

  • Second Location: Coernix Station in Cauthess

  • Third Location: Cauthes Rest Area

Talk to Holly

Once all done with checking the Lights, return to Lestallum and speak with Holly to finish this sidequest.
