Location Hammerhead
Unlock Condition Obtain Engine Blade, and complete "Cid Sophiar, Master Mechanic" sidequest.

A Better Engine Blade Clear Conditions and Rewards

Clear Condition Collect a Rusted Bit and deliver it to Cid to upgrade the weapon.
Reward 500 EXP
Engine Blade II

How to Complete A Better Engine Blade

Talk to Cid

Speak with Cid to begin this sidequest. He will help you upgrade your weapon, but you need to find the item that he is asking.

Find the Rusted Bit

Go to Mother of Pearl Restaurant at Galdin Quay and get the Rusted Bit located at the dock.

Upgrade to Engine Blade II

Talk to Cid by returning to Hammerhead. Hand over the Rusted Bit to upgrade the Engine Blade and complete the sidequest.
