Talk to Cid

Speak with Cid to begin this sidequest. He will help you upgrade your weapon, but you need to find the item that he is asking.

Find the Sturdy Helixhorn

Go to Outpost Old Lestallum and talk to the tipster at the Diner. Check the hunting quest available and choose The Last Spiracorns. Defeat a Duplicorn to get a Helixhorn.

The Last Spiracorns Hunt

This hunt alone is quite challenging; make sure that you are at Level 29 or higher before taking this. But getting a Helixhorn is even harder; you need to target the horn for a chance to remove it from the Duplicorns, though it's not guaranteed because the drop rate is low.

With this, it is best to use a two-handed sword (Hardedge) and take a Mother & Child rice bowl to increase the drop rate. If the Helixhorn didn't drop, repeat the hunt.

Upgrade to Ultima Blade

Talk to Cid by returning to Hammerhead. Hand over the Helixhorn to upgrade the Engine Blade III. Upgrading this weapon will take some time; spend it by hunting and then sleep afterwards. Wait for Cid's call and go back to complete this sidequest.
