How to Unlock A Better Circular Saw

Location Hammerhead
Unlock Condition Obtain Circular Saw, and complete "Cid Sophiar, Master Mechanic" sidequest.

A Better Circular Saw Clear Conditions and Rewards

Clear Condition Collect a Sky Gemstone and deliver it to Cid to upgrade the weapon.
Reward 2,000 EXP

How to Complete A Better Circular Saw

Talk to Cid

First, you need to obtain Circular Saw by completing Chapter two. Then, speak with Cid to begin this sidequest. He will help you upgrade your weapon, but you need to find the item that he is asking.

Find the Sky Gemstone

To get a Sky Gemstone, you will need to complete the sidequest A Feline Feast Sidequest. After completing it, you will receive Sky Gemstone as a reward. Take note that you can only access the said sidequest after completing Kitty Catering Sidequest and Living off the Land Sidequest.

Upgrade to Circular Saw Plus

Talk to Cid by returning to Hammerhead. Hand over the Sky Gemstone to upgrade the Circular Saw. Upgrading this weapon will take some time; spend it by hunting or sleep at any haven. Wait for Cid's call and go back complete this sidequest.
