This is a page for the upgradable weapons in Final Fantasy XV. Read on for a list of all the upgradable weapons, how to get the items required, and more!
List of Contents
As you progress through the game and obtain weapons, you will notice that some of the weapons have a yellow "+" sign on the icon next to their name. This means that the weapon can be upgraded by giving them to Cid together with the item that he requires.
These Upgrade sidequests will start appearing after you complete Chapter 1 and show Cid an upgradable weapon.
After giving Cid the weapon and the required item, you might need to do some quests or hunts and then sleep (either on camps or lodgings) to pass the time that he needs.
Four of these upgradable weapons are obtained by trading 4 Caem Carrots to Tony during and after Chapter 8. These weapons are Force Stealer, Plunderers, Valiant, and Absorb Shield.
