The Diablos Shatterer II dominates the non-Iceborne weapons with its high damage. Despite its -25% affinity, it is undoubtedly the best choice for Hammers. Once paired with non-Elemental Boost, the damage spikes and makes it the top of its class.

Hammers rely on raw stopping power to mash monsters into paste, so those with high Attack tend to be the best.

The Fatalis Demolisher sports the highest raw attack out of all hammers in Monster Hunter World (MHW). It's -20% affinity rating can be easily negated with skills such as Weakness Exploit or Critical Eye. A maxed out Affinity Augment can fully negate the 20% penalty as well

The Fatalis Demolisher's dragon rating might be low at a base value of 150 but its insanely high base attack of 1820 more than compensates for it. It also has a High Elderseal rating, making it an excellent option when hunting Elder Dragons.

Overall, these factors make the Fatalis Demolisher the best all-around Hammer and is especially effective versus monsters weak to Dragon element.
