Sharpness

The Divine Slasher was considered to be the strongest Long Sword before the arrival of the Iceborne Expansion. It's hidden element made it possible to pair this weapon with Non-Elemental Boost, increasing its damage to insanely high levels regardless of a monster's elemental resistance.

The only weapon stat it fell short on was its natural sharpness. However, this can be improved on by investing in the Handicraft skill.

Sharpness

The Fatalis Zaggespanon is the newest king of Long Swords in Monster Hunter World (MHW). The weapon is superior in almost any stat aside from Affinity and Element ratings.

Hunters are advised to use multiple affinity skills such as Agitator, Critical Eye, and Weakness Exploit to counteract its -30% affinity rating. Affinity augments may also be used to manage this. Its sharpness can also be improved by investing in the Handicraft Skill.

The Fatalis Zaggespanon becomes the best all-rounded Long Sword in the game if built around properly.
