While going through the Wildweather Woods courses, it is important to always be wary of rain and wind. Always consider the direction of the wind when making your shots. We also advise steering clear of Biddybuds since they can knock your ball into unintended places.

How to Clear this Course

Because you are given a set amount of time to complete the entire course instead of splitting it up into parts, time management is more difficult in this course. Make sure to traverse through the course quickly and avoid accidentally falling into water. We also recommend using clubs that specialize in wet climates such as the Green Shell 3 Wood given by Master Stinger.

This course also first introduces lightning to the game. Always remember to avoid going over the section of your gauge marked with caution signs. You could also purchase clubs and equipment that help mitigate lightning and its effects.

How to Clear the Lob Shot Lesson

To pass the Lob Shot Lesson, you need to launch one ball into each target by shooting lob shots over the trees. Remember to aim for the target and set your shot type to lob shot before attempting each stroke. For the middle target, set your power to around 40, while for the two side targets, set your power to around 45.

In the Special Match of Wildweather Woods, you will be competing against Donkey Kong and Luigi in a Speed Golf Tournament. Your score for each hole is determined by both the time and number of strokes. You will receive either 1, 2, or 3 points per hole depending on where you rank compared to your other two competitors.

The scoring system makes it very easy to recover from a bad hole. It is important to always keep track of your score so you can compensate in the following rounds.

Since you are competing against two other characters, remember to use both Special Shots and Dashes to interrupt your opponent's plays. At the same time, try to protect your own ball from two other characters by distancing it from other balls, making sure it is not in their path.

How to Clear the Approach Shot in the Rain Lesson

This lesson is similar to previous approach shot lessons but requires more precision due to the rain. For the first three shots, go to overhead view and move your aim slightly to the right until the path line is at the edge of the dark blue circle. Set your power to around 20 and add a backspin to your shot.

After completing the first 3 shots, you no longer need to adjust your aim. Set your power to the marked flag on the gauge for the next 3 shots and add a backspin. Then for the final 3 shots, set your power to around 37 and add a backspin.

How to Clear the Putting in the Rain Lesson

Putting in the rain requires more power than previous putting lessons due to the rain. Remember to check the slope of the hole before making your shot by checking the overhead view. For holes with the same elevation, set your power to around 20.

If the hole is uphill, aim slightly right until the path line is on the edge of the dark blue circle and set your power to the midpoint between 15 and 30. If you are shooting downhill, aim slightly left until the path line is on the outer edge of the dark blue circle and set your power to around 15.

Obstacles and Hazards
Water Hazard	If your shot lands in the water, your score will get a +1 in addtion to a penalty shot. Appears on hole 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 18.
Trees	Trees can stand in the way of your shot.
Bunkers	Landing in a bunker will hinder your control and will require more power in the next shot to get back out. Appears on hole 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 15, 16, 17, 18.
Biddybuds	Landing in a bunker will hinder your control and will require more power in the next shot to get back out. Appears on hole 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14.
Piranha Creepers	Piranha Creepers can block shots, and knock you down if they hit you, causing you to lose coins. Appears on hole 16, 17, 18.
Lightning	Lightning can strike your club if you hit a high-power shot underneath a thundercloud causing you to lose coins. Appears depending on the weather.

Due to the unpredictable weather in Wildweather Woods, always be prepared for rain and lightning when going on the course. Rain causes shots to roll with less distance, while lightning can strike when setting your power too high in certain areas.
