Security Bots are one of the most dangerous enemies in The Callisto Protocol because of their instant-death attacks. Read on to learn how to kill Security Bots effectively and know the rewards you can get for killing one!
How to Kill Security Bots
Get a Gun First
You will have to get a gun first if you want to kill a Security Bot, as melee attacks even from your upgraded Baton won't work on it. You should be able to get your first gun, the Hand Cannon, after meeting up with Elias for the first time in the Aftermath Chapter.
Ignore Security Bots on the Earlier Chapters
Security Bots on the earlier chapters before the Aftermath are all immune to attacks and won't be killed. You will have to sneak past them and progress through the story until you reach the Aftermath to kill a Security Bot.
Aim for the Robot's Head
You can easily take out a Security Bot if you keep shooting its head with your gun. You will need to sneak around their side or hide behind covers to take them quickly and safely. Also, make sure no other enemies are in the area to avoid getting interrupted and even dying!

| Take down a security robot. |
You can get the Terminated trophy and achievement once you've successfully taken down a Security Bot. You will be able to get this achievement as early as the Aftermath Chapter, after rescuing Dani from the Prison Cell.
If you missed that place already, there will be a few more Security Robots on the way, so don't worry!

Get a Decoder Item Drop
Killing a Security Bot will also get you a Decoder. You can sell a decoder for a high price, which you can then use to buy or upgrade other items in the game. You can sell it by finding and using a Reforge Terminal scattered throughout the game.
