The spacesuit armor can be found right after getting out of Black Iron Prison and reuniting with Elias. He will give you the helmet for it and ask you to put it on so you two may journey into the storm.

The Callisto Protocol - Inventory
Once you get the Spacesuit Armor. Inventory slots and health are permanently increased. This will mean you can withstand more hits from normal enemies, and your inventory slots will be upgraded from 6 to 12.
