The Callisto Protocol is now officially out on the PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. With its release, the option to pre-load is no longer available. Instead, a regular download should replace the option for your respective platform.

Pre-Order a Copy of the Callisto Protocol

In order to get a chance to pre-load the game, players will first need to pre-order any edition of the game. Pick from the Day One Standard or the Digital Deluxe edition to begin pre-loading the game for your chosen platform.

Select the Option to Pre-Load the Game

On the PC, you can select the game in your Steam library or Epic Games Store library and choose the option to preload it. The game download size is a whopping 78 GB, so make sure to free up some space before you start pre-loading.

On Playstation or Xbox, the option to pre-load the game should be available from the console home screen. Simply select the game tile after making the pre-order purchase to pre-load the game before launch.

PC Pre-Loads Will Usually Need Time to Unpack & Install

Unlike console pre-loading, PC pre-loads will usually take some time to unpack compressed files when launch day rolls around. Be aware of the possibility as anything short of an SSD (or better) will mean you'll be spending a few minutes unpacking before you can play during launch.
