Most PC players are experiencing performance issues, like stuttering and FPS dropping, in The Callisto Protocol. Read on to see the best PC performance mode settings and learn how to fix the stuttering and frame rate issues!

Basically, tuning down the graphics settings to medium or low will improve the game's overall performance. But the key factors that affect the game's performance would be the Quality Settings, Frame Limit, Upscaling and Direct X.
- Quality Settings - Quality Settings affect the graphics quality of the game's environment, including the characters, enemies, and other objects. It eats up a lot of Graphics Memory (VRAM) which causes the game to load longer and slower. Setting it to low should up the performance of the game.
- Frame Limit - Frame Limit limits the game's frame rate to a certain number. Setting it to 60 would help improve the game's overall performance.
- Upscaling - Upscaling also affects the game's graphics quality, specifically the game's textures. Using the AMD FSR 2 is proven to have improved the game's performance without sacrificing too much quality.
- Direct X - There are two Direct X options in the game, Direct X 11 and 12. Direct X 11 underperforms a bit, but it is more stable than Direct X 12, which proves to be the better choice.
How to Fix Stuttering and Frame Rate Issues
Update to Version 1.05
Updating the game to version 1.05 will fix the stuttering issues on the PC. The update is live now, and players playing on PC should receive a 2.9 GB file size update for download!

Set Quality Settings Down and Lock Frame Rate
Most players love to see the game's detail more. Unfortunately, maxing out the graphics quality setting might cause performance issues, especially on lower-end devices. To avoid experiencing game stutters and FPS drop, lower your Graphics Settings to at least medium quality and set the Frame Rate to 60.
If the issue persists, you can adjust them even lower to maximize the performance while exchanging a good chunk of the game's quality.
