A miniaturized graviton field generator used by UJC Correctional Officers to pacify inmates and manipulate objects. |
|
Type | Auxiliary Ranged |
Acquisition Type | Story Progression |
Recharge Upgrades | Time to Full Charge |
---|---|
No Recharge Rate Upgrade | 3 Minutes |
GRP Recharge Speed Upgrade - Small | 2 Minutes 30 Seconds |
GRP Recharge Speed Upgrade - Medium | 2 Minutes |
GRP Recharge Speed Upgrade - Max | 1 Minutes 30 Seconds |
Unless you have a GRP Battery in your inventory, it will take 3 minutes for a fully depleted GRP to recharge and become usable again. While empty, you will not be able to pick up or throw anything using the GRP.
Do note that the energy recharge of the GRP will only start after you stop using it. If you keep trying to use it even on low charge, it will not start charging.
To confirm whether your GRP has run out of juice or not, simply view the blue rectangle above your HP bar. If it is a hollow blue rectangle, then that means your GRP has no energy left. If it has energy but flashes red when you use it, that means it does not have enough energy to perform that action.
Energy Upgrade | Recharge Time |
---|---|
No Energy Capacity Upgrade | 3 Minutes |
Energy Upgrade - Small | 3 Minutes |
The GRP's recharge rate, as well as any of its related upgrades, will not be affected by the Energy Capacity. No matter how many Energy Capacity upgrades you give to the GRP, the recharge time will always remain constant as seen above.

Players can use the GRP to grip and throw enemies around. The distance and damage received on impact will depend on your weapon upgrades and the size of the enemy. Larger enemies will be more difficult to throw while also requiring more energy to grip.
The GRP can also be used for quick and easy kills via environmental hazards. Simply use the GRP and grip and enemy, before launching them at a hazard for an insta-kill. This is particularly useful on higher difficulties where melee combat is much more deadly.
Lastly, the GRP can be used to grip and throw objects. At higher upgrade levels, this will become much more deadly. However, when you first get the GRP, its object throw will simply induce a mini-stagger until upgraded.
To see how much charge is left on your GRP, hold down the aim button (RMB on PC) and check the blue bar on top of your HP bar. When not aiming, the small blue light will start flashing when you're low on GRP energy.
The GRP will recharge itself automatically but it can take quite a bit of time. To speed things up, especially during stages with multiple enemies, pick up a GRP Battery. This item automatically charges your GRP as soon as it runs out of energy.
