Weapon Upgrades

The Callisto Protocol - Weapon Upgrades

Weapon upgrades are one of the things you can unlock in the game. You will need to acquire and pick up Callisto Credits as you progress to upgrade weapons at a Reforge Terminal.

You can unlock skins for your character, Jacob, and dress him up with a different outfit. You can get these skins and outfits by getting exclusive bundles in the game through the Season Pass or buying Digital Deluxe or Collector's Edition.

New Game Plus

The Callisto Protocol - New Game Plus Release Date

Players will receive a free update next year on February 7, 2023, that includes a New Game Plus feature and a Hardcore Mode. It means all players can continue playing and grind for weapon upgrades once the New Game Plus arrives since it's impossible to unlock all upgrades in a single playthrough.

Hardcore Mode

The Callisto Protocol - Hardcore Mode

A Hardcore Mode difficulty will also be available on the February 7, 2023, update. It offers more difficult playthroughs to all players for free. Although there's not that much info yet for the Hardcore Mode, players can likely expect a game mode where they die in one hit, possibly with less overall ammo and Callisto Credits.

The Callisto Protocol - Nothing Unlocked for Beating the Game

Unfortunately, there's nothing that will be unlocked after you beat the game, for now. It will only unlock the New Game Plus (currently unavailable), which will let you start the game again but with your current loadout from the end of the last chapter.
