As written on The Callisto Protocol's official website, the game is a "terrifying story-driven, single-player, all-new survival horror game."

In addition, there are currently no concrete plans or announcements from Striking Distance Studios regarding future co-op or multiplayer modes.

However, with The Callisto Protocol receiving more content in 2023, including the upcoming New Game Plus and Season Pass content, the game could eventually receive co-op or multiplayer modes in the future.
