Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap Gameplay

The gameplay of Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap is divided into levels with predetermined pathways, reminiscent of traditional tower-defense games. However, Deathtrap introduces more intricate layouts and a greater number of outdoor maps compared to its predecessor, Orcs Must Die! 3.
Enemies advance through these pathways in waves, and it’s the player’s job as a War Mage to stop them from reaching the end. Players can strategically place various traps along or near the paths to hinder the orcs' progress. These traps include spike traps for damage, tar pits to slow enemies, and legions of archers or defenders to block their advance.

In addition to traps, players can engage the orcs directly using a diverse arsenal of weapons and abilities. Deathtrap also introduces new heroes, each with unique playstyles and specialties, such as melee combat, stealth-based backline damage, or long-range attacks.
What sets Deathtrap apart from previous entries is its new roguelite progression system. This system adds variety to each level through modifiers and allows players to upgrade both their heroes and traps, enhancing the game's strategic depth and replayability.
