Mutated Defiler's attacks are both melee and ranged attacks and can vary from a direct attack or a scattered attack.

These attacks are easily dodgable though, so time your dodges to fill up your Burst Energy.

How to Perfect Dodge

Shoot It With Explosive Shells

Since Mutated Defilers aren't really close and cannot be targeted with melee attacks inside the Levoires, using your Gun to defeat them is optimal.

However, regular Slugs won't budge. Use Explosive Shells to destroy them.
