Best Hammer (Early Iceborne)

The Hammer are one of the most flexible weapons in monster hunter world. It can focus on raw damage, status ailments, and elemental attacks. We will list all the weapons viable for each type and reasons they're good (we will also be listing only blast status weapons due to the other ailments being extremely niche/situational).

(Why is it Good?)

This is a pretty easy non-elemental weapon to craft for the hammer. You only need Kulu-Ya-Ku Materials to craft it and its also a non-elemental weapon which can be boosted by a non-elemental boost decoration. It also has a good upgrade path into the banbaro tree which can further increase its damage for midgame iceborne.

When it comes to raw damage, Fatalis weapons are always king and for a weapon that loves raw damage like the Hammer, the Fatalis Demolisher can pretty much carry you all throughout the game. It also has a high elderseal rating which can be helpful against elderdragons. Furthermore, it only has -20 affinity (which is lower compared to other fatalis weapons) and can easily be offset by augmenting its affinity.
