Speak to the Serious Handler

Once you reach HR16, the Serious Handler will appear in the Tradeyard of Astera with a blue exclamation point above her head. Talk to her to receive this quest!

Monster Information

The Largest Kulu-Ya-Ku

In this quest, you will battle the largest Kulu-Ya-Ku in the game, empowered by a crystal from another world. Instead of a normal rock, this Kulu-Ya-Ku will be holding this Aetheryte Shard.

Rewards

Aetheryte Shard

Upon defeating the Kulu-Ya-Ku, you will be rewarded with an Aetheryte Shard, which you will use to make the Drachen α armor set as well as the Gae Bolg Insect Glaive. You can also make the Palico armor set, Moogle α, and the Palico weapon, Gold Chocobo Rod α using an Aetheryte Shard.

However, you will still need to progress through the questline to get the other materials needed for these gear.
