Demon Mode is a central mechanic to the Dual Blades. It's an activated state that you can enter and exit by pressing R2. Once activated, a red aura surrounds your character and stamina passively drains until you run out.
In Demon mode, your movement and evasion abilities are changed, as well as your attacks being stronger and faster. For every attack you do in Demon mode, you fill up the Demon Gauge on the top-left hand of the screen.
Once this is filled up, you enter Archdemon mode.
Archdemon Mode enhances some actions and increases attack. Some of your attacks will change as if you're still in Demon mode, and your Demon Gauge will passively drain until you run out.

This basic combo is a standard 6-hit combo that can act as a bread and butter combo starter. Usuable by itself or to open for higher damage moves, this easy combo is important to know.

These round slashes hit diagonally upwards, making it capable of hitting higher parts. In normal mode you can only do two, but in Demon/Archdemon Mode you can do three as a combo. To change the direction of the diagonal upward slash, flick left or right as you do the combo.

This combo allows you to adjust your position in the second hit. If you hold the movement stick back as you perform the second attack, your character will shift position towards that direction.

Once you enter Demon Mode, you can do a Blade Dance by pressing both attack buttons at the same time. This will start an uncancellable flurry of blows directly to the front, and while it deals a lot of damage, the combo cannot be cancelled, thus leaving you vulnerable to an attack during its long runtime.
