Since Creepers have infinite health, you need to do a Power Surge and they will instantly be sucked up by the Poltergust
When it is at its largest, make sure to charge up your Power Surge to as high as you can get it to get as ton of Gold. A Level 3 Power Surge (Red) will net you around 3 Gold Bars.
If you manage to get caught by a Creeper, just continuously press the B Button to escape. Every punch dealt by a Creeper while trapped deals 3 Damage. Meanwhile, a small Creeper will deal 1 HP DoT as long as it is attatched to your leg.
Creepers won't appear and spook Luigi like the other ghosts. Instead, it will pop out of the floor once stepped on or revealed with your Darklight or by using your Poltergust to blow or suck it in.
Some levels also have Creepers that spawn on the Ceiling, take care of them as you would normally would just avoiding getting under it.
Like Gobbers, Creepers don't really move as much so take advantage of that by taking care of the more mobile ghosts first. Make sure to not let yourself get dragged into a Creeper through.
