Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth - How to Beat Metalworm in Dungeons

Metalworm is a tough opponent to beat in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (Yakuza 8). Read on and learn how to beat Metalworm, its location, and how much Exp it gives once defeated!

Set Up Buffs and Debuffs

Before Defense Debuff After Defense Debuff
Before Defense Down Debuff
After Defense Down Debuff

Much like most enemies in the game, Metalworm is also susceptible to debuffs applied to him.

The example above shows the damage done to the Metalworm before and after applying a Defense Down Debuff. Attacks only dealt 10 damage before the debuff, while it dealt 48 damage after the debuff.

Aim for Back Attacks

LAD Infinite Wealth - Back Attacks

Always aim for back attacks to deal increased damage from a guaranteed critical hit even if Metalworm has high resistance.

Back Attack: Effects and Multiplier

Use Battle Items

LAD Infinite Wealth - Use Battle Items

It's recommended to use damage-dealing Battle Items since they deal fixed damage, even if they're resisted by Metalworm.

While it does not deal the full damage to Metalworm, given their high fixed damage along with the debuffs in play is the way to go. Battle Items are also cheap to buy so make sure you have a handful prior to this fight!

Metalworms doesn't give much Level Exp once defeated, but it does give tons of Job Exp, useful for for leveling up Jobs!
