① | Sprint and run away from the cops. There won't be any quest markers and the minimap will be disabled. Go straight on the direction where you started and then turn left at the intersection to avoid the police car in front.. |

② | Pass the Quick Time Event (QTE) to dodge the patrol car by pressing the indicated button on the screen. It will start after turning left at the intersection. |
③ | Run straight then turn left until you reach the road after the QTE. It will trigger a cutscene in which you escaped the cops successfully. |
④ | Kazuma Kiryu will join your party at this part of the chapter. Head to Kiryu's usual spot with him after several cutscenes. You can check your gear and equip Kasuga and Kiryu first before going to prepare for the upcoming battle later. |

⑥ | Check on Yamabiko and buy items if you need to. Enter the Revolve Bar on the other side of the road after that. Interact with Kiryu and start drinking with him to progress and increase your Bond with him. Bond Levels: How to Increase and Effects |
⑦ | A Timed Selection will occur the next day with the Smiling Woman named Kei. ⑧ | Aloha Links will be installed in Kasuga's Phone after the Timed Selection, allowing you to make friends with people in the game. You can try doing this to the Bartender that came out from the bar. Aloha Links Guide |
⑨ | Ride Kiryu's car which is located a few blocks from your current location. There will be enemies on the way, but you can avoid them if you want to by going to a different direction and not passing through their line of vision. |
⑩ | You will get to one of the Yamai Syndicate hideout after riding Kiryu's car. Fight and defeat the enemies as soon as you get there. |
⑪ | Tomizawa will officially join your party after the fight and a few cutscenes. You can practice and familiarize with his skills by fighting the Threatening Men nearby. You can also give him better gear since he will be in your party for the rest of the chapter like Kiryu. |
⑫ | Head over to Kiryu's hotel. You will get a Best Fortune item that you can exchange for Fortune Points at a shrine on the way to the hotel. You can use Fortune Points to buy exclusive items from the shrine. You can try to get a few Good and Bad Fortunes around the area as well after getting the Best Fortune. ⑬ | Someone will pickpocket in front of the hotel. Chase and catch the guy while avoiding obstacles and pedestrians on the way with QTEs. |
⑭ | Go into the alley near a pizza restaurant. You'll have to defeat the Threatening Men first to proceed. Your party will spawn in front of the hotel the next day after that. |
⑮ | The next thing to do is look for the Taco Truck on the northern part of the map. You will be forced to fight enemies once you get there, but it will also unlock another battle feature in the game called Poundmates. You can call those Poundmates to help you fight, but calling them will cost you money. |
⑯ | Go to Aloha Beach and earn some cash. You can get there quickly by calling a taxi using your phone. |
⑰ | Once you get to the location, you will start playing a minigame called Crazy Delivery after a cutscene. The goal of this minigame is to grab as many food items on the road, do tricks for bonus points, and deliver the food to the customers. You will get $30 after finishing the minigame. ⑱ | After earning money, return to the Taco Truck and watch several cutscenes. You can call for a taxi once again to reach the Taco Truck quickly. |
⑲ | Go to Diamond Head to bring down the Yamai Syndicate group. Be careful not to run into the strong enemies surrounding Diamond Head to preserve your HP and resources against the boss. |
⑳ | Go inside and fight the boss of Chapter 3, Roman Reynolds. If you have enough money, hire Poundmates with AoE attacks, like Chitose Buster Holmes, to finish the battle faster. |
㉑ | Once Roman's HP drops to 40%, a QTE will trigger and you'll have to press the indicated button to counterattack and avoid getting damaged. Continue launching attacks and heal if needed until Roman is defeated after the QTE. |
㉒ | Return to Kiryu's Hotel after beating Roman. The chapter will automatically end once you reach the hotel and after watching a cutscene. |

You can start getting Fortune Items, such as Best Fortune, Good Fortune, Modest Fortune, and Bad Fortune after Tomizawa officially joins your party. Collect as much as you can in the starting area where you have to go back to Kiryu's Hotel and exchange them for items at the shrine.
Most items that you can exchange have better effects than the ones you can get from normal shops.

You can get free items for making enough friends with the Aloha Links. You may also get free gifts from the people you've made friends with, which can help you progress in the game,

Aloha Links Guide
There are tons of high-level enemies throughout Chapter 3, like the Level 21 Island Bruiser. Try not to fight them for now since you're level is too low for them. You will lose some money once you get knocked out by one!
Hiring a Poundmate is a new battle feature you will get before the end of Chapter 3. It will be useful against the boss fight with Roman as they mostly have powerful skills and attacks that can easily take out most of Roman's lackeys.
Farm enough money first to hire one as they are quite expensive before fighting Roman!

Aloha Links will be added as an app in your smartphone, allowing Kasuga to have a more meaningful connection with people in Hawaii. Kasuga can increase his personality this way.
Keepers of the City are special enemies with a crown icon above their heads. They are tougher than regular enemies and will unlock new areas and will drop Safe Keys for you to open up containers and safes throughout the game for various loot.

Poundmates is a service where you can call for help from available Poundmates to assist you in battle! This mechanic is expensive, so make sure you're using it if you're really in need of help.

Complete Substory #6 to unlock Street surfers, which allow you to roam the streets much faster, and in style! You can set it to Auto-Cruise to automatically go to your set waypoint!
Note that you'll have to pay money to charge Street surfers at their designated charging station! Not everything in life is free!
