Nouveau Riche Crown | ・Increases money obtained from battle by 1.2x |
Players can earn money fast by equipping items that increase the amount of money dropped from enemies. Lucky Money Charm and Nouveau Riche Crown can be equipped at the same time since its effect can stack, essentially increasing the money you receive from battle by 1.3x.
Players can obtain the Lucky Money Charm by exchanging your fortune for points at the Fortune Exchange Shop as marked on the map above. This will be the fifth reward and will cost you a total of 40 points to unlock.

Players can obtain the Nouveau Riche Crown by defeating Keepers of the City in the location as marked on the map above.

Item | Where to Get |
---|---|
Sengoku Coffee |
Shark Teeth Souvenirs |
Drinking Sengoku Coffee during battle increases the money dropped by the enemies of the character that drank it by 1.5x. The effect of this stacks with any item you have equipped so if you drink this and equip the Lucky Money Charm and Nouveau Riche Crown you can get up to 1.8x money by defeating enemies in battle.
1 | Head to the Open Road Shogi behind the Shrine in Little Japan, Honolulu. |
---|---|
2 | Select Play Puzzle Shogi from the list. |
3 | If you haven't already, clear all the puzzles up to puzzle 10. You can get a lot of points from clearing it the first time. ▶︎All 10 Puzzle Shogi Solution |
4 | Select Puzzle 1 but before starting the puzzle, make sure to set both Take Back and Time Limit options off. |
5 | Move the Gold General from the side to below the opponent King. |
6 | Repeat Step 1 until you have accumulated 21,000 points. |
7 | Upon reaching 21,000 points, go to "Exchange Shogi Points" and select Desperado's Revolver. |
8 | Go to a Pawn Shop then sell the Revolver for $3,400. |
Do note that Desperado's Revolver can be used to unlock Desperado's strongest weapon. While selling this does earn you a decent amount of money, you will need to farm points once again if you wish to get this weapon later on.
You can also earn money by playing Open Road Shogi in Japan by heading to the marked area on the map above while Kasuga is still in Japan.
If you complete all the Shogi puzzles from puzzle 1 to 10, you can earn 18,000 points. You will then need to clear the remaining 12 puzzles to earn 21,000 points so it would be best to accumulate the 21,000 points the first time you solve the puzzles.

As you explore the area you will run into enemies with crown marks called Keepers of the City. While taking them on may be a bit more difficult than regular enemies, the money you receive is greater than usual and you can also get rewarded with more experience points, better equipment, and safe keys.

Taking into account the sheer amount of substories in the game, completing these side quests can not only earn you a pretty penny but also lets you acquire various items. Additionally, you can earn more money when there are combat events that take place during a substory.
As you progress through the game, you can accumulate items of varying value. If there is a message that says you have an item of no use, such as a plate, and that a pawn shop will buy it at a high price, you can go ahead and sell it.
During Chapter 4, you can head to the Anaconda Shopping Center where you can take part in Sujimon Battles. Once you have Sujimons, raids will be available all over the city. These let you get Sujimon and some money so if you find raids in your area, try completing it.
Raising your resort rank to rank 1 on Dondoko Island nets you with $10,000 as a reward. The rewards don't stop there as you can earn even more as you continue raising your resort rank.
As you progress through Chapter 5, you will be able to unlock dungeons. We recommend taking on Dungeons not just as a means to farm money but also as a way to level up and gain items from enemy drops.
