If you are defeated in battle, you'll lose one-fifth or 20% of the money in your possession. If you have $1000, you'll lose $200 when you get a game over.
If you have been defeated during the story, you have three options—Pay 10% of your current money to Try Again, pay 20% of your current money to Retry battle with full recovery, or Return to the Title Screen.
Getting defeated during exploration will only cause you to lose money, and it won't affect the story in any way. Your party will restore their HP and will get revived on the same spot to where you lost.
As long as the main character's HP does not drop to 0, you won't get a game over screen. Use various methods to heal, such as using items, skills, or crazy delivieries.
Special enemies with a crown mark above their heads can be found in certain areas. These enemies are much more powerful than normal enemies and, once defeated, will yield special items or clear a path to previously blocked areas.
It is recommended to deposit all of your money on an ATM before fighting bosses and strong enemies. You won't lose what you don't have!
Save your game before attempting to fight these special enemies to avoid losing money if you are defeated, as you can reload your last save state.
If you feel like you're losing the battle, you can press and hold L1 during command selection to attempt an escape. However, fleeing the battle is not guaranteed to always work, so it's best to keep that in mind.
Getting the main character's HP reduced to 0 will cause you to get a game over, even if your other party members are still alive and kicking. Prioritize restoring Kasuga's HP to avoid losing in battle.
The main character of Infinite Wealth is Kasuga, which is also at the top place when viewing your team formation.
