This is a guide that talks about differences when playing Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (Yakuza 8) on a PS4 and PS5. Read on to learn more about the differences when playing on each console and which version you should choose.
List of Contents
When comparing the two consoles, the most noticeable difference is their loading times. Whether it be starting the game from the title screen or taking a trip on a taxi, there is a difference of at least 16 seconds between the PS5 and the PS4 HDD. Even when compared to a PS4 with an SSD, the PS5 loads faster by 10 seconds.
As seen in the video above, there is also a difference in their frame rate. Considering that this is a game that uses an RPG style of combat, it should be fine even when played on a PS4.
Another noticable difference is the amount of people you can see in the city. On the PS4, there are almost no people wandering around though there are some aspects of the game's graphics that have improved.
From the comparison video above, the loading times are vastly different which generally makes players gravitate towards the PS5 more. While the PS4 does a good job in keeping up with graphics, there are still many aspects of the game that make playing on the PS4 hard to recommend.
When it comes to graphics, the PS4 does a fine job and the differences aren't too bad. If you don't really care about not seeing many people around the city, then you're fine playing on this previous generation console.
