 After approaching Sawai, offer to help him find his hotel. Through some cutscenes, you'll find the hotel with the help of a local. |

 After eating your meal in Oahu Burger, you'll be asked to choose between three dialogue choices. Select The lei girl? to increase your Kindness stat. Sawai will then tell you his story of how he ended up in Hawaii. Personality Level: Details and Level Effects |

 Follow Sawai to watch over him. You'll then have the choice to tell him the truth or keep quiet about how he's getting exploited. Either choice has no bearing on the outcome of the Substory. |

 Keep checking on Sawai and Kiana outside of Mama Masala's and follow their story through some cutscenes. |

 Follow Sawai and Kiana into a parking lot and defeat the thugs harassing Kiana. The parking lot is located just a few feet away from Tony's lemonade stand. Finish the cutscene to complete Substory #12. Substory #9: A Love as Sweet as Lemons |
During the early part of Substory #12, you'll receive a Valuable Item, a White Plumeria from Kiana.
Once you complete Substory #12, you'll receive a Happy Lei accessory as a reward.
