While you can play through the story without having to participate in Sujimon Battles, doing so lets you eventually unlock Sujimancer, a job exclusive to Kasuga. This job becomes available after defeating one of the Discreet Four in a Sujimon Battle.
All Jobs and Unlock Conditions
1 | Unlock Sujimon Battles in Chapter 4. |

2 | Repeat Sujimon battles with rookie trainers around town until you reach the rank that enables you to challenge a Sujimon Discreet Four or the League Champion. You can check locations of other trainers in the city from the Menu by selecting Sujimon League then selecting Raids and Rivals. |
3 | You will get a message that says you can now challenge a Discreet Four member. If you don't receive a message, try taking a taxi or taking a road trip. |
4 | When you go to the designated location, the Sujimon battle will start. After defeating the first two trainers, your fight with the main Trainer will start. |
5 | Upon defeating the first Discreet Four member, Jack, the Kasuga-exclusive Sujimancer job will be unlocked. |

Upon reaching a designated rank, you will need to defeat a member of the Sujimon League to progress further in ranks.

One of the important elements in Sujimon battle is how the different types work against with each other. There are five types: Blaze, Frost, Nature, Light, and Shadow and the image above shows which have an advantage over other types.
The Section Chief and the Discreet Four will have a team that has Sujimon of differing types. We recommend diversifying your team as making a team with just one type can easily be defeated.
Scattered throughout Hawaii are Suji Spots, these are devices you can interact with and you'll receive free Sujimon items that can help you defeat enemies in battle.

Various Sujimon can be obtained through raid battles. You can check what raids are currently occuring by opening up your game menu, selecting Sujimon League then selecting Raids and Rivals.
From there, you can head to a raid with the type you want and the level you can manage to take on.
Sujimon can also be obtained from the Sujimon Box, which you can get as a reward by defeating rival trainers.
Sujimon can also be obtained from Suji Gacha. Suji Gacha is often found in game centers, but the gacha at the PC shop in Anaconda Shopping Center is just a short taxi ride away.
