Check For Speech Bubbles in the Map
Substories are denoted by speech bubbles scattered all over the map. Make sure to navigate and go to them to start substories.
Not All Substories Have Speech Bubbles
Not all substories start with speech bubbles though - as some are tied to main quests or are not marked in the map altogether!
Check the Substory List in the Tasks
Substory progress can be tracked under the Substory tab under Tasks. To access this hit pause then go to Tasks!
